I HATE all jigs with rubber skirts... like if sombody just wire tied the hack attack jig it would be amazing.

The skirt I'm using on all of my bladed jigs and jigs now is very good. I could argue that the durability of the components has resulted in a best-in-industry skirt. I'm not going to publicly post the manufacturing process, but it's a silicone core instead of rubber and the strands are hand tied into a groove in the core with a flexible thread. I don't know exactly how long it lasts, because the day hasn't come where I've had one bust. But I've personally used the same skirts on the some bladed jigs for 5 years. I still get the perfect color separation like the guys that wire tie, but I'm also able to make it flair out.

The 1 oz. has worked best for me in 5'+. With that weight on that head design, it takes a retrieve that is faster than I like to keep it from excavating in water that is less than 5' deep. I designed it to run true in deeper water (not as much lift with that head design and that sized blade), but I know guys have had success in water less than 10' deep. That bigger hook is really one of the keys to this bait. It isn't too big to lock up a 3 pound fish, and it improves the landing rate on bigger fish. I hope you'll give one a try!

I'm a Talon guy, love their Billy Mac jig for both flipping and casting. I dont know what it is about the design, but fish flat out stay pinned when you stick em. Also love the color options they have, I started having them use the Billy Mac head on Ookkii jigs for me too.

V&M all the way. Cliff Pace has done an excellent job on his head design.

Siebert Outdoors - Mike hand ties these brush jigs with an Owner Deep Throat hook that sticks for $3.50.

Yes JC99, I think Finch makes the best bladed jig on the market. All my fishing buddies know I spend a great deal of time at Lake Fork and ask to get them a few several times throughout the year.

You can order the heads and skirts on www.fishingskirts.com and assemble your own for roughly half the price of most brand name jigs. The improved Arkie head is excellent for flipping/pitching

Nutech jigs are my favorite because it goes through the stumps without hanging up for me. I think this is a ford VS Chevy thing

Not sure if mine are the best but I sure do sell a ton of them to guys on this forum. Customer sent me these pictures a couple days ago of an 11.3 pound monster caught on one of my 1 oz football jigs out of Lake Palestine. Also sent me a picture of the jig he caught it on. I do several different types of flipping jigs, swim jigs and football jigs. All hand painted, hand tied and built right here in the good ole US of A !!!!

Most jigs are very similar many good brands to pick from. What's going to set other apart will be the head design and how the jig comes through cover. You can't find a better jig at coming through wood cover than the M-Pack jig. If your looking for a heavy cover jig you won't be disappointed

Viper XP Jig

Viper Pro XP Jig hardly ever hangs up on brush but great hook ups on fish.

Santone and talon get the bulk of my $$. I've been experimenting with strike king structure jigs for fishing brush. My finesse style I get from a buddy who pours them(ball head style).

Santone. Best color selection on the market. Mexican Heather and JC's Spring Craw in any style jig is $$$$.
