Great idea! That's what I did in my 10' Bass Buster and it worked like a charm. I could then concentrate on fishing and not worry about having both hands free. I attached my Bigfoot to a piece of 1x6 so that I could move it around depending on what position I was fishing in.

It is very easy to do. You only have to splice the wires to your trolling motor and mount the switch on a board with two screws. Should cost you around $25. I have the two seat Pelican version of your boat and found working that trolling motor handle and trying to stay on a spot was difficult. With the bigfoot you just tap it with your foot to nudge you back to your spot. It's a easy installation.
