Well can't say I learned a lot but it's a nice lake and lots of trees...
1. I asked the Park Rangers about the lack of grass and I got a strong response " we had nothing to do with it!, it as mother nature, low water then muddy water"
3. Water is 3' low
3. Camp site No 8 was ok (even with 80s music playing all day next to us...) but the lower numbers are better.... and the second loop sites are better
4. Didn't venture very far up Coleto Creek (worried about stumps and the 3' low water)
5. Fishing; caught a few little ones off the main lake island and hump next to it. (Using crank baits) (had one good hit that broke off a drop shot fishing off the island towards the creek) Fished mostly in the large creek NW of the islands (nice cove) Caught a 6+ 1lbs bass and one 2+ that came off , (most using wacky rigged senko, Carolina rigged baby rattlesnake or drop shot baby rattlesnake, no luck at all with lots of square bills). also had a real nice hit flipping a black and blue jig rage-tail on the stumps but it lasted about 2 seconds till he spit it out...
I think I see my self going back in off peak times again, there wasn't to many boats out (maybe 2 dozen boats at the most)
