Gonna be headed to one of these lakes this weekend, not sure which one yet...

I've never fished any of these. But my dad used to fish bass tournaments years ago and won 1st place out of about 20 boats at both of these lakes. I do know from what he told me that these are both power plant lakes where the water stays 85+ degrees. What are the idea lures/structure/areas to fish these lakes for bass? I've always been told about people catching them off the hot water discharge, but I have no clue where to start. Also, is there anything to look out for as far as navigation? I'd rather bring my 225 Optimax home with the lower unit in tact

I fish Coleto all the time. Stay in the middle the lake is loaded with stumps. A blue gill swim jig with a rage craw trailer works well. The water is still kinda warm go all the way up lake and fish the deep banks..

I like Coleto for the fact that even if it is windy you can find calm water it has taken me a few trips to find what they want but it can be worth it. Lots of trees so Fayette is easier to navigate both are god lakes

I missed a fish that might have broke my PB(I have caught a few over 10) last year. I was fishing the small island of reeds when you come out of the ramp and go left. I was throwing a white spinnerbait had a backlash got it out started to reel in and my line was 45* from where I casted it. I lost the fish at the boat as I was reaching down for it, that thing was huge

I missed a possible PB there too. Took off under the boat and wrapped around the TM.
Caught another possible PB but didn't have my scale. Nice fish in that lake.
