We're gonna be in Lufkin this weekend for a cow show and were thinking about hitting up the lake Saturday night for a little while. We gotta be banking it cause I'm hauling a stock trailer so no boat. Can anybody suggest a location? I'm not asking for your honey hole. I just need someplace where we might have a decent shot of getting some bait with the cast net and then maybe catch a fish or two. Also some place not too rowdy on a Saturday night. I'm gonna have my daughters with me.

I've only been there once and from what I remember bank access is extremely limited unless you're at a lake house. There is a fishing pier or two but I didn't have any luck there.

We went out to ewing park for a little bit on saturday. Hard time catching bait but i finally got a few bluegills. Fished down towards that little point where i could see the water drops off a little deeper. Got several bites but no hook ups
