I usually use a my regular crankbait rod.you want something like a medium- med/hvy with a fast tip unless your throwing frogs.

I don't know what your budget is, but a Power Tackle PG143 is my go to topwater rod. I throw spooks and yellow magics on it without any trouble. Makes a great weightless senko rod in the winter.

Falcon LowRider 20

Try out the Falcon LowRider. These rods are a step above the Bucoo's and they're sweet. I own several and they are just as nice as a high dollar rod if you ask me. They're lightweight, sensitive, and well balanced. They also come with a great warranty and they're made in America! You'll find just what you need from they're many different models. Try out the Mansfield special for your poppers.

Can't beat a Falcon.

I use a falcon weightless worm. To me it's useless on anything that doesn't have treble hooks but it's a good top water rod. It's kind of short so you can work baits easy and flimsy so you don't jerk the hooks out of a fish. Just let them load up and work them in.

Look at the Falcon BuCoo rods. They are great rods for the $$$$. I think they retail for 99.99, but you can find em on sale around 69.99 - 79.99 from time to time.
