I've seen quite a few different plastics posted recently that are purple and shad colored, so I thought I'd see what I could do in a hand tie. I'm going to try another tonight with a painted head and a gray hackle with the purple. I think this will work good this fall/winter for a more natural look

I saw another plastic that I thought was unique and gave it a try. Kind of goofy looking but it may work, we'll see

Nice looking. What kind of vise is that. I need to get a better one. All we have is the $20 I got last year when I bought stuff to start tying.

Thanks John. It is a Peak, I absolutely love it! I started on a $20 special from Crazy Angler also, I got this a few months back and wouldn't trade it for the world. No more hooks slipping and the rotary function makes everything so much easier. You don't have to get a Peak (although I do recommend them) but I highly suggest getting one with the rotary function. If you decide on a Peak message Skip on here, he is a dealer and also has some of the finest hackle and chenille around thumb
