Here's some prop wash... Kyle, what the heck am I looking at here? That is driving over an underwater bridge. Do you know how the SI image is displayed? If not it can look confusing.

My gen 3 hds 7 si/di and 2d blow! The screen quality is garbage and have adjusted them as much as you can to get a clear pic. The humminbird pic quality is way far better. Wonder if there is anything to do to get the pic quality better on the lowrance? Yes my transducer is mounted properly too As far as DI and 2D Lowrance is superior, SI Hummingbird is superior. My HDS is tweaked properly so my images look pretty good, but can't touch the Bird SI. IMHO YMMV

The two dark columns in the middle are is the water column under your boat. Part of the bridges are in that column as it was driven over. The sides are exactly that, what is out to either sides. Here's a site with a short video that explains how it is read. If you were to fold the image as if it were paper with a water column, the two sides of the bridges would join. It is simpler than it sounds. http://www.humminbird.com/Category/Technology/Side-Imaging/
