It was the end of vacation for me Friday. Played 18 holes of really good golf (shot a 76) and since that went so well I decided to head home and hook up the boat for a maiden night voyage and ended up getting on some nice crappie. Kept 7 to eat. Used a few rods I got off of REDGUN and some of his jig heads. Thanks for hooking me up REDGUN! Some really good people here on TFF. I think this catfisherman is being turned into a crappie nut banana .

Not a single boat on the water and the almost full moon was amazing. For all the stuff I've talked about crappie fishing on Eagle Mountain its starting to come alive for me. Just takes time and dedication to find them. Thanks for all the info and help here on the Forum. Really tough coming back to work after week of fishing and golf.

hocdrummer, about that retirement;
When I retired in 2005, people at work asked, are you gona work somewhere?
Absolutely not.
What are you gona do?
I'm going to enjoy my hobbies, fishing, competitive shooting and hunting.
That's all?
Yep.
You're gona get so bored.
I said, from the day I retire till the day I'm bored, I'm gona enjoy the heck out of everything.
That was 11 years ago and I've never thought I was bored.
Just need a few more hours of daylight!

Been working harder since retiring that I did when I was employed and it don't pay squat! But, I do get to fish quite a bit. fish

Kinda tough being retired....decisions have to be made, like....do I want to do some reloading? Shooting? Work on the boat & motor? Or....do nothing?
Decisions...Decisions!!!

My boss is still working at 75 because he does not have any hobbies like fishing or golf. I love both, so I'm done as soon as possible, likely 55, but no later than 62.
