Boat lanes? LOL thats a dream
All you have are logging trails and pipelines to run, and there is no map im aware of. I think I'll hire some guides, learn all the routes and lanes on the north end, then make a boat lanes card for Palestine. Just to pizz off all the locals Biggest buncha "it's my lake and I can run it but you can't" because those tracks lead to the very best super secret spots where all the tournaments are won. Worse than Raybob and Conroe anglers, combined. Haha this is very true. But Ray Bob is a cake walk to run compared to Palestine

But Ray Bob is a cake walk to run compared to Palestine I was born in Conroe and now I live two miles from Lake Palestine...I think I should be offended. I posted a general idea map for running south of the Villages a few years back. I only didn't do it for the north end because I don't think it is a good idea to follow a map that looks like a kindergartner put together with crayons up North. You really need someone to show you how to do it. I would recommend contacting Tom "Big Game" Mayne. www.lakepalestinefishingguide.com/

Thanks, Stew. One of my best friends lives in Flint. Been trying to get him to learn it as he has a lot of downtime during this time of year. He's too busy deer hunting and loving on his kids, though.

If KJ ever needs help on Palestine, I could probably move some things around on my calendar.

I don't have any super secret spots on the north end because I hardly go up there. If there are 8 pounders jumping in the boat in Kickapoo or Cades I guess I'll just have to miss out...LOL.

Fished tournament in flat couple weeks ago. Thought i might find some bunched up with lake down.Bad choice😨.Took 30 minutes to go back above 315. Usually 15. Terrible day, but stayed commited to my detriment. I think this time of year with water level you are just as well below 315

I was just there on the north end on Saturday. It's impossible. Tried to launch at the 315 bridge, there is very little water. tried to drift across the road bed, high centered and it took 2 hours to get the boat free. Spent another 30 minutes high centered on a stump. Need an aluminum boat or a helicopter. Once launched, I did manage to rip off the skeg on the motor when I smoked a stump in the power lines. Could be forced to fish the south end.

hire a guide that knows the lake and get him to show you the lanes you can run. That will be your quickest way to fine where to run Can't hire guides 30 days prior to any event, per tournament rules.

Worse than Raybob and Conroe anglers, combined. If you make a boat lane chip it will be nothing more than a false sense of security. It also might even get someone killed. The sand bars change, water saturated logs get moved and wedged on stumps in new places. The Google earth images are before the two years of massive floods and there are sand bars that are different. It takes a if you can't see it it isn't bad enough and when in doubt trim it out attitude.

I'd venture to say the rules appear to be stricter than that even, Tim. You can't talk to anyone about locating or catching fish on the lake beyond teammates, other captains/coaches/advisors and parents within 14 days of the tournament. That guide rule is pretty interesting to me. FLW Pros and maybe even Elites can captain, but guides can't. What makes the rule interesting is that instead of outright prohibiting professionals from the two major trails (FLW Tour and BASS Elites), it's worded where entry fees above $5,000 are the cutoff. The last time I checked, FLW Tour entries were $4,900 and Elite entries were $5,000 even.

You can hug the east bank creek channel(and I do mean hug)about 50 yds. from shore until you get to the power lines then shutdown and idle. You will have to swing wide around some of the shallow points. Would not suggest you make this run first thing in the morning.
