So I'm thinking of buying a fly fishing combo, called Wild Water Fly Fishing Completel 5/6 Starter Package. Anyone have it and recommend/not recommend it? By the way, here is the link to it. https://www.amazon.com/Wild-Water-Fly-Fishing-Complete/dp/B001IAHX6A/ref=sr_1_1?s=hunting-fishing&ie=UTF8&qid=1468726663&sr=1-1&keywords=fly+fishing+combo&refinements=p_36%3A1253557011

Anything that gets you out on the water is great. My one caveat is consider the warantee of the equipment you're buying. With fly rods it's not if you break one, it's when, so paying a bit more on the front end can ease the heartache when disaster happens.
Fly fishing is easy to pick up but impossible to master. I would encourage you to look into some lessons to lower the barrier of entry. You don't even have to pay, Orvis has free casting classes they teach which are a great introduction. After that YouTube and time on the water are really all you need. Personally, conventional tackle has become a bore after taking up the fly rod, so get out there and fish!

My BIL got one of those combos. I thought it casted great. I really didn't study the components, but I was favorably impressed by the value of the set up.
Learning to cast isn't something most folks get instinctively. I took videos of my cast and compared to pro casters to see what differed. I now have a servicible cast. Its not really getting better, but it's good enough to take and hit some shots at fish. I've added a decent left hand cast and that really helps out on stalking fish when the wind doesn't work out for the other hand. To get better, I'd probably have To take lessons. I've gotten happy with my mostly inexpensive gear and self taught cast.
Fly fishing is what you make it. If you are into perfect, you can do that. I Used To think that's what you had To be to have any luck and fun with the sport. But there is tons of room for okay gear and casting. Its really fun getting fish on the fly rod.

I second what MassAction and karstopo said. Fly fishing has made conventional tackle boring.
I currently own and use the Wild Water combo you've linked. I recommend it on this basis: It's a 5wt rod/line. It's light enough for panfish and heavy enough for small to mid size bass. It's a 4 piece rod (which was very important to me, so I could fit it in the back of my wrangler)
Be aware, 9ft of rod is a lot of length to handle for bank fishing (like me) I've already lost a few flies to trees. Also, the flies it comes with are worthlessly tiny.
Otherwise, realizing its a FULL setup for sub $100, and you can have it to your door in 2 days is what sold me on it. I do not regret it at ALL!

Cabelas sells its CGR ready to go combo for $159. I like shorter rods like the CGR for bank fishing and stand up kayak or boat fishing. I have the 4-5 wt and the 7-8wt. Love them both.
