Talked to my cousin and he found a shoebox with two ledgers in it. Hand written recipes from my aunt Rene born in 1912. Some of the lost recipes including the family yeast rolls.

It will be coming eventually. Loose pages with scribbled recipes, pages from old magazines, but specifically the two hand written ledgers full of goodies. I haven't seen it yet, but when I do, there's going to be a whole lot of transcribing going on.

Oh, I will be scanning it. But it's easier to reprint into the collection of other aunts' recipes I've got written down and my own.

I've already got a good start to a book as is. Transcribing this would finish it out. We could have a printed family recipe book. Stuff all the way back to my great grandmother... and god only knows what's in that shoebox.

Ms K. If you run across a good creamy horse radish sauce for ribeye roast and steak, give a shout. Thanks!

Can't wait on the home made yeast roll. My wife uses one her grandmother used and they are very good thumb

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
