how about strike king's shim e stick? i have black and blue flakes with blue tail. if i can use them, how to do i rig it, weightless or weighted?

my tackle is mainly zoom lizards and yum ribbontails, a few poppers, 1 gold blade buzz bait, 1 black spinnerbait colorado blade only, 1 yamamoto chikara cb, and some little grubs and crappie jig heads.

is 30lb braided line fine?

well just got back, had 3 heavy bites but no hook ups. caught a small little guy on a yum tequila sunrise ribbontail worm 7.5". i really did had my doubts until it got smacked on the 3rd cast o.O

wish i could have stayed longer but a pack of coyotes were howling and whining just on the other side where i fish at, dont want them to walk around the bank to me and consider me an all you can eat buffet lol.

To answer your questions. 30# braid is fine, just don't backlash it at night. LOL.

Your black/blue worm is fine for night fishing. I would use it with a 1/4 oz. weight Texas rigged or rig it wacky style (if not much grass) and put a finishing nail in the head of it. You can rig this Texas style, too. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I know the moon is about over, but we fished last Friday and Saturday night on Toledo Bend with black safire Z-Hog jr, TX rigged and caught 17 up to 4.5lbs and only fished dust till 11:30PM. I am a believer in dark colors on a full moon. Day time fishing sucked.

wow that sounds wicked! i been trying to go more noght fishing but i keep getting creeped out by coyotes howling in the distance (like 200 or so feet away) when i hear them i just pack up and leave. im wondering if they would attack if i still stay. just dont wanna wait around to see and find out lol

3/8 Special Black, blue spinner bait with black blue fleck baits. Black vibrating jig with black blue trailer, Black buss bait. Black Zara Spook. Remember bass are looking up and the dark colors make a better silhouette. I have found if you fish the spinner baits on a slow and steady retrieve you get a higher hook up rate. If the water was only slightly stained I would use a 10" Culprit in Red Shad with a 1/4 oz sinker.

Just tell coyotes to shoo away so you can catch that monster. I'd be more concerned about sasquatch than coyotes. Happy fishin'.
