Beginning Sunday, October 23, 2016, Lake Dunlaps level will be lowered approximately 18 to 24 inches below normal so that Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (GBRA) hydroelectric maintenance personnel can perform an inspection of the dam.
GBRA officials anticipate these scheduled operations should be completed around the first or second week of November. Operations also may be adjusted or canceled in the event of adverse weather conditions. Updates will be posted to the GBRA of Texas Facebook and Twitter accounts.
GBRA officials advise anyone using Lake Dunlap for recreational purposes during this time to exercise caution. Lower lake levels may expose debris and other potential hazards that normally are underwater. For questions about Lake Dunlap levels during maintenance, please call GBRA (830) 379-5822.

Dropping the water level this much will make one spot on the river pretty dangerous and it's not in a no wake zone. Good info, thanks.
