This tubing thing is still new to me. Joe Pool is close to my house. But I have had very little luck at JP. I want to get to the bridge pillows but it is a long paddle.

I'm in the same boat (pun not intended). I just bought a used inflatable pontoon and don't know the ropes. Are Joe pool bridge columns still producing? Any tips would be appreciated.

I am trying to get some things done so I can put in at the south bridge. Don't really want to go alone but it is looking like I might have to.

I'm always down for a trip but haven't been able to get out much this season due to other obligations. When are you planning on going?

I am like you. I have been so busy. I have had to put fishing on the back burner. I am going to try to go out on Saturday morning.

Why the bridge? The creeks have resident fish all the same, and they'll be moving in after thanksgiving or a real cold snap or two anyways... Some great lay downs and stuff to fish thoroughly

Easy access to the water @ the south bridge. You park on the median and the water is right there without having to walk far at all.

Is it "okay" to park on that median? I'd hate to sit there with my stringer with no car.

cheers

It's a risk every time. When I launch I'm fully aware I could have problems. I talked to a couple of guys who used to fish the south bridge but have been run off by the cops.

I won't be parking there anymore. I'll be making the walk from Lynn creek marina to the north bridge.

There are no posted "keep off median or NO parking) signs and there is no city ordinance by the Governing municipality for that particular area.

What are you fishing for?
I used to use swim fins when I had to travel. Face back to the wind while fishing and its gets fairly easy.

That is what i did yesturday. But I learned something. Always have a small paddle with you. It makes staying in place a little easier.

Lloyd park has a non paved ramp close to the horse trails that is close to the mouth of the river and good fishing. I launch my bassbuster there. For old guys like me it only costs $2 to get in.

Does anyone know whether you have to go into the park to get to this non paved horse trail ramp? The Last time I went into Loyd park I think it was $10.00. Is that price still the same?

PM sent. Yes you do have to go into the park. I always remove my cap so they see all thus grey hair to get the senior discount.

I do believe it's 65 for seniors with a $2.00 fee.
