i bought a green light for Crappie fishing and have a question.how deep do you put it below the boat and do you fish right in the light or is it better to fish on the out skirts of the light?

I have only used mine twice, but I dropped it about 3 feet below the boat and fished a couple feet off it. We had pretty good success near some bridge columns. Caught a lot of 9 inchers, a really nice white bass and unfortunately a longnose gar.

3 feet down works, fish the edge of light or even opposite side of boat.
