Hit up the lake up after work. Got there around 330 and fished for about 2 hours. Got my only catch around 10-15 min in. Better than a skunk, also my very first texan LMB. I live close to the lake so ill be there more often since I found out they also rent kayaks.

That lake can be a hard place to fish. Glad you caught some. Nice fish.

The last two times I went there, I only boated one fish...times are hard at Bastrop right now. Glad you caught one.

Fished a club tourney on Bastrop Oct 12-13th (paper tourney) Saturday 12th I caught 35+-. Best 5 went 12.19. Sunday I caught fewer fish (15 or so) but the best 5 were better quality (15.80) for 27.99 for best 10 fish for the win. Bastrop can be tough during a cold front, other than that it's a small lake and pretty easy to figure them out 90% of the time. From June to Oct I almost didn't recognize the lake due to all the new areas of hydrilla. Hope they don't kill it off this time!!!
