I also have aspirin and/or Advil, Neosporin, tape, sharp side cutters in case I have to cut a hook, I don't use that set for fishing. Some people will say I am nuts, but I also carry super glue. It works well for sealing up cuts. Alcohol wipes as well.

Athletic Tape, Pro-wrap, Ace bandage, gauze (large amount and assortment of different pad and roll sizes), peroxide/hand sanitizer, quick-clot pad (for serious injuries like getting hit with a prop after falling out of the boat or freak accidents), hydrocortisone cream, Neosporin, Alcohol wipes, Band aids (Spiderman and princess ones of course and they aren't for me ), tweezers, scissors, side cutters (for cutting hooks), skin glue. All of this bought separately and put into a fanny pack. Costs about the same as a store bought kit, but contains more of the stuff you actually need in an situation you'd actually use it in. i.e those ice packs that take up half the room in a store bought kit are unnecessary. If you are hurt bad enough to not fish you are going straight to the hospital and won't use it.. And who doesn't have an ice chest on the boat anyway? Really bad wounds require a lot more gauze than in store bought kits so I'd rather have more of that in my kit than a silly breakable ice pack.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

Don't have one in my boat. Probably should now that I think about it.

Don't have one in my boat. Probably should now that I think about it. Everyone should have one period. Accidents happen, even to the most experienced boaters. Unfortunately, I have a family member whose girlfriend was killed by a prop in a boating accident and there was no trama kit on board the boat that could've maybe changed the outcome. It is extremely important to be prepared. Everyone should religiously wear their kill switches as well, especially on boats with outboard motors.
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.

I have one in all my rolling stock. Had to pull it out the other day to close a wound. You need tape closure strips and lots of them. Tampons will close a bullet wound, sanitary napkins will do great as a large wound dressing. Alcohol wipes to clean around wound so tape will stick. Latex gloves and somebody to wear them.
Cast I have a short attention spa

great topic , lots of good idea's . one more to add , put Benadryl in there also , never know when you might get stung by a bug and have an allergic reaction . Earlier this summer , I had two yellow jackets get under my shirt and before I could get them out , stung me 5 times across my back . Luckily , I am not severely allergic , but some people are and Benadryl is a god way to keep from going into deep anaphylactic shock . People who have severe allergies might consider an Epi-pen , could be a life saver Robb

Build the best one that you can put together for the space you have to store it in. I have two ft. of braided line in mine to remove those burred hooks. It is surprising how many boats I have fished in that do not have a side cutter on board.

Every since I took a hook in the face while alone I always carry a small mirror. Very tough to remove a hook you can't see.
I always keep first aid kit in boat just in case .

Fished off shore in Destin the guide got a hook through the finger. His first aid kit consisted of small bolt cutters a gallon of bleach and duct tape which he used in that order.
