From the Facebook pics you could see a broken bolt mounting the motor to the jackplate. It happens, even to the pros. There was a few posts about your bolts when Aaron Martens lost his motor in rough water with a sack of fish

Ya that's the only boat issue I heard about. Would've happened anywhere. We ran 53 miles one way no problems. Very easy run and I'm glad it was protected from that north wind that was ripping

I would also like to hear where most of the top finishers were running? The Sabine, Neches, Calcasieu rivers or ? Lots of water to fish and just curious because the Elite Pros ran all over the place.

From what I have heard, most teams ran up the Neches with 4 out of the top 5 teams seeing each other throughout the day. Would have been a blowout had one team had the area to themselves. Weather was definitely a factor yesterday. The north wind blew out the water by a foot or so.

This....

But it still could've been a blowout. I know one team lost a 6+ and we jumped off enough for 15lbs+ yesterday

Good job Jaret, see a guy that used to fish with us over here on LH got 2nd ( Lance Duff) see he moved on to bigger and better things, good for him.

Sidenote, I fished our club championship this weekend, never saw the top 3 guys either day, we were obviously in the wrong areas!!

Only tale I have is we almost got taken out by a HUGE pelican that dive bombed us while we were coming in to Day 1 weigh in and we were running 75. We were near Port Neches. Literally swooped on top of s and missed us by inches....... roflmao

We made a long run but had our area to ourselves. Had tons of water, caught lots of fish, a ton of 14" and above fish just no big bites. Looked like maybe 12-15 boats made the run to the Neches from what we saw. I am betting most of those got a check. The quality was a LOT better up there if you were willing to make the run. Less crowds too. The Sabine looked like a boat show on Friday when we practiced there.

Did yall find fish above the salt water barrier on the Neches or did most fish the 2 bayous right up from the yacht club? Did anybody make the run to Taylor's or Calcasieu?
