After one of my recent posts in which I stated that we caught
over 120 fish in four hours I got an e-mail calling BS on it.
Nobody catches a fish every two min all morning they said.

Also they said, the video's could be edited to show a lot of
action (Like they do on TV).

Well we do it often. The lake is so full of fish right now
that it's almost impossible not to.

I have included "UNEDITED" video of the first nine min. on
a brushpile as an example of what's happening right now on Lewisville.

In the first nine min DFWfisherman and I landed 21 fish.
We fished the brushpile a total of one hour and caught a
total of 57 Crappie and one Potlicker.

If you are not fishing Lewisville right now you are missing a lot of fun.
(Probably on the other lakes too)
Part 1

Part 2

Notice that in all my recent video's no one is running the boat yet it stays pretty much in position. The Xi5 is amazing.

I'm a believer. Now if I could just believe that I too will catch a lot one day.
Way to go Mr. Paty.

Wow
But not a bit surprised....

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I've seen you guys doing it with my own eyes on many different occasions. When the jig bite is really on and they are hitting it on the fall 4 fish a minute is not uncommon.

This time of year on LL is my best fishing. I feel like I can't do wrong to get bit. The fish know things are a changing and they come out in very large groups to feed ( just as they do an many area lakes)
I have experienced/witnessed the bite on every drop.
I would be more concerned about that potlicker than what others can't believe......just sayin.

I have the xi5 is it normal when you first hit anchor for it to go all around in both directions to lock on? Went out yesterday and it seemed like it worked awful hard at the beginning when you hit anchor. Help

Also it seems like you hear the gear turning when it moves, is this common as well?

Crappie bait, (Junior right) That's normal. When I approach a spot I usually hit the anchor button 10 or 15 ft. from where I want to end up and wait for the boat to stop and lock down then I jog the + button until I'm exactly over my brush pile. There is a slight noise when the motor is turning.

You might check the speed that the motor is traveling at when approaching the anchor point. I make sure it is not more than 1 mph. Less is better, but if moving into the wind the speed is higher and it does cause some "over correction" at the anchor point.

Looks like fun, wish I knew where to find some piles on Lew frown. New to crappie fishing and struggle to put more than a few keepers in on a half day. And that's a good day!

Don't let 'Damien' bump into your toon. It will spread the curse. Heck, I take a shower and hose down all my gear with 'Holy Water' before I even get close to my boat after fishing with him. wink angel

huntfish45 - try potlicking off Ernest when you see him on the lake. I didn't see him start throwing rocks at that other potlicker so you should be good. roflmao

Study all the videos that are being posted and you should be able to find a few. I have. peep

Ernest I have also experienced fishing that good on the feeders of LL, but not on the main lake. If you ask me he's jealous... whip
