This is the time of the year I get frustrated with catfishing on Fork. Seems like only little ones bite in my 30 ft. baited holes. So yesterday I moved into 17 ft. water, threw out some soured milo, and sat. Wound up catching 20 keepers in one hour. A couple were netters. Used Catfish Candy punch bait available at Fisherman's One Stop.

I too catch my share of small fish. I find that moving to different locations often comes with a change in size of fish. Right now lots of shad are in the mouths of creeks so the fish are close to them. I find that when I chum the first fish to show up are the smaller fish. So I try to chum the day before I fish and that seems to help. I also believe that I catch bigger fish on Stubby's Cheese bait. Now I cannot prove that with numbers but it is still the case.

Stubby and I caught 50 or so good ones in one 30 ft spot and then caught 10 or so smaller fish in another 30 ft spot. Fished in 24 and then 19 foot and caught some that were Ok. We stretched this out over about a 3 hr period.
