I have two questions for ya'll.
1. I broke 3" off the tip of a Skeet Reese micro honeycomb rod on a fish yesterday. Do any of you know if bass pro, etc does exchanges on them? I checked their warranty online and they require that you have the original receipt which of course I don't have.
2. I am looking for a reel (and if necessary a paired rod with it) that I can get some distance out of throwing carolina rigs. I am currently using BPS pro qualifier and BPS Johnny Morris signature reels on St Croix rage rods and I can't get any distance out of them at all it seems. The crazy thing is I set my reels extremely loose with no magnetic cast control on at all (set at 0). You would think I could get some distance. Any suggestions?

What length and action on your c-rig rod. The reel is fine.

I am using a 7' rod with fast action. Maybe I need something that will give me more whip....

7 foot is on the "Short" side of what I would use for C-Rig. The 3 rods I have used over the last 25 years were all from 7' 3" to 7' 6". The second recommendation I have is make sure your using enough weight. I use no less than a 3/4 oz but most of the time I use a 1 oz bullet weight which goes through grass better than an egg sinker.

As far as W & M warranty goes I have 1 of their rods and 2 reels. I had Gen 1 Victory reel that a side plate fell off and into the lake once. I called them up and they replaced the reel with a new Gen 2 without question. Only asked I pay for the S&H which I was happy to do.
