Outside temp 66 in morning then warmed up to about 85. Caught biggest fishes on zara spook juniors. Also caught several on pb and j yamasenko dipped in chart garlic dip. And flipping a strike kind rage tail craw in falcon craw color. Best consistant bite came on the spook fished along the edge of the grass off the banks. Twitched twice then paused then repeat. Fish usually swiped at it on the pause. Not much schooling activity today in the middle. Mostly big gar fish. Schooling blue gill along grass edges. Find them and you will find the bass.

Hey just wanted to give everyone a heads up, city of Lufkin is draining Kurth lake some in order to build a deeper ramp, could barely launch this morning. So a heads up, so no one drives a good distance to fish there, engineer said it would take a while
