The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our ninth tournament of the year Saturday October 8th on Lake Texoma. Here is the information - • When: Saturday October 8th • Where: Lake Texoma - Highport Marina Ramp - $5.00 launch fee at Highport • Time: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM • Registration: 6:00 AM - 6:45 AM • Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximumYou MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information. Meeting Link Registration will be at the ramp starting at 6:00 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board to get your fish weighed. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 7:00. Last cast is 3:00. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 3:30 and weigh in will start then. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called! Keep the water cool and treated! See you at the ramp!

Yes, congratulations are in order for Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace. They finished off the regular season with their second win of the year weighing a 5 fish limit of 17.67 pounds. That included big bass of the tournament, a 7.42 lunker. This also makes Ronnie the 2016 AOY. Congratulations guys! As a bonus for Ronnie for winning the tournament, big bass and AOY, this qualifies you to step in next year as Club President! Since as my partner so eloquently put it today. "we suck at fishing" I need the time to practice. I am leaving Ronnie the keys to the operation, the Bat Phone and all other bells whistles and trinkets that go with the office! Congrats! Lock the door on your way out please
Full results and pictures later this week.

Ronnie and Capp had a great year. Congrats guys. Tom, I know you were really excited about the chance to win AOY. You and Chris have fished really well together. You had a great season and are alive so there's something to be thankful for!
Plus, me and a few of the fellows are gonna pitch in and get you a really nice 3rd place trophy!! (Sorry, couldn't resist).

Thank you Tom. Unfortunately, we are beginning the build on our new home in the next month. I would not mind trying my hand at the president role one day. I will volunteer to be one of the 4 tournament directors for 2017. Thank you all for the fun year. I was very excited to fish this year, due to upgrading boats before the Palestine tournament. It started out a little tough, as I had to make a decision to change partners after missing Cypress Springs due to the weather. My son is not able to handle the elements yet, so I approached my old team partner (Capp Peace). He came off his sasquatch hiatus and agreed to fish with me. He has really kept me focused in times I would be lost, and kept my head in the game. He and I work well together on the water. Without him, I would not have reached these achievements. I also changed jobs part way through the season that allowed more time on the water. Again, thank you all for the fun year and camaraderie. We are amped up, excited, and ready for the championship on Cedar Creek. See you guys and gals at the meeting in November.
