Haven't had a chance to fish this lake and headed out there next Saturday. Don't need anything exact. Just wondering if the shallow bite near the islands is any good. Kinda thinking about starting in areas like that.

The shallow bite has been "Hit and Miss" (roflmao) One day it is good and the next it is bad. The lake is dropping but there is still some shallow action. But it is not consistent.

+1
The fish are moving a lot with the water dropping and cooler weather. If you want some shallow action I suggest covering as much water as you possibly can during a day and you might hit the right area at some point. You also might not but hey, that's fishing and it's better than not going at all.
