I'm looking to upgrade a bit to a better bait casting rod. Using an old beat up Ugly Stick at the moment. Looking for a medium/fast action rod. Around 7 foot or so? Thank you before hand.

Falcon Bucoo

Try out the Falcon Bucoo. These rods are fantastic for the price point and won't hurt your wallet. They're very sensitive, lightweight, and durable. They have plenty of actions and styles to choose from, so pick your favorite!

$55

I have a few other rods in the 100-150 range and I still prefer this one. Super light and really sensitive. I have a few of them in both casting and spinning.

Falcon LowRiders are a great option, too! Just over the top of your stated price range, but IMO well worth it.

Academy has had the Bucoo on sale for 79 and then 25% off of that. May not be able to find any left however.

Picked up a Bucoo yesterday at Academy in Waxahachie, they had two and I should have gotten both of them. Great feeling rod, can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

True story. Rick showed me these at Angler's Pro and it's amazing how good they feel for that price!

Hard to beat the Falcon Bucoo for the price. Some Academy's have them on clearance right now for around $60-70.

Lots of options. Check out Denali Kovert Lites. Reasonable, good. Not sure if okay to post a TW link? If so: https://goo.gl/eBG11e

If not, sorry to the moderators!

Buy a lightly used Dobyns Champion. They are out there if you have the time to look.
