Hey everyone, I am new to the Bastrop area, well Texas in general but looking to see if anyone has some knowledge of Lake Bastrop. I'm not asking for your honey holes but just some good areas to start or even park at and fish the bank. Also if the North side is better than the South side and visa versa. Any input will help out a lot. Thinking of hitting up the lake this weekend.

Hey there--
I've only tried South Shore on the docks and have not had any luck, but only have gone twice-- We DID however see a huge cat just picking off the bottom with his tail being the only thing coming out of the reeds (we were watching from dock) - tail was like 5 inches wide and when he moved, all you saw were the reeds moving--- was a 7 lb'er easy-- I'd be down to join you sometime since i am like 20 mins from lake bastrop -
