Ray Roberts has really been producing some great crappie lately. This past week customers caught not one 16" fish, but 2 that went 16". Seems like every trip has 4 to 8 really big crappie. For the past month we have been seeing some really fat fish that have bellies full of fat. I had a night trip this past week and even though the fish didn't bite very well at night I was amazed at the amount of bait that comes to the lights. I'm still catching some fish on certain trees while other trees are being taken over by bass and bluegills. The brush piles are taking off right now. After I dropped my customers off from the night trip I went out at daylight with 8 dozen minnows and fished them all out in 2 hours on one single brush pile. The fishing was incredible. I even pitched a jig and caught pretty good as well. Minnows on pink jig heads are the ticket right now. The fall fishing is looking like it is going to be great and full of fall fatties. I have some opening after this weekend during the week and also a weekend day here and there. Come go out and catch some crappie with me.
