That video was crazy! Don't know what that guy has for a boat, but I lost track of how many boats he passed.

Fun if 5-10 boats on a decent size area, but for the most part not a very good idea.

Great video Ranger1

I run a small working man's T and had to go to the shotgun start because fishermen were starting early on fishing. With less than 10 boats, it works out okay, but if there were 20 boats, I would have to do flights. In small numbers and CORRECT BOATER KNOWLEDGE AND APPLICATION, they are not too bad, but getting everyone on the same page and not having a guy on the far side cutting across is the key. If I could trun them loose and let them fish at 6:30 and not before, I would, but we have had 3 complaints of winners fishing early, so I had to stop letting them go. So much for trusting all fishermen. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keepo safe and good luck.

My old Fishers of Men partner had a Bullet with a 250XB on it. We fished the 2009 South Central Regional on Palestine. We went out of the Lake Palestine Campground/Resort on the south end. There were 173 boats in the tournament and most of us were running north.

I can't tell you how many boats we passed along the way, so I guess you could say the number was countless. There's nothing quite like the feeling of sitting on the passenger side of a single console boat, with nothing in front of you and nothing to hold onto, bouncing side to side as you jump boat wakes going 85-90 mph. Exhilarating would be one way of putting it. Scary as **** would be another.

I also fished the 2005 Regional on the Red River. We ran 26 miles downstream at take-off. We were the third-to-last of 166 boats on day one, but #3 on day two. It was a blast and that video brings back fond memories.

Been in some wild ones over the years. Lucky to have lived thru a few of 'em to tell about them.
