As previously posted I had a bad day last Sunday but most of the video was lost due to operator error. A bit of it survived so here it is. I edited out a lot of their fish but left all of mine. (Editor privledge)

The action shown here took place in about 90 min. Unfortunately most of the really big fish came later.

Cool videos. Almost like slip fishing on the pontoon. Looks comfy!

After lots of thinking and watching the video's I think I have figured out part of the problem. For two weeks prior to this trip I had been really killing the fish with an aggressive jigging approach. The weekend prior I really whipped up on both of them, especially Guy. The fish had been so aggressive that I quit using a leader. The fish didn't seem to care.

This weekend Both Rick & Guy used leaders and I didn't. They both jigged a lot slower. Fish had obviously changed how they would hit.

Monday pretty much verified this. Fished with Mike and he had on mono line and caught 6 nice keepers before I added a leader & slowed down my presentation. I then caught the next seven fish.

Got to pay more attention.

Agree. That clear leader does not matter - till it does!

I'm a little lazy,I carry two rods, one with flouro, one with braid. I know the areas I fish and can avoid getting hung up for the most part, thus no mono to braid leader. Thanks for sharing Ernest! I'm addicted to your posts, I learn a lot from you! And you connect the dots for me!
