2000 Merc 150xr6 does a steady buzzer mean heat or oil? cant find in service manual.

Constant is over temperature. What is your water pressure? When was the water pump last replaced?

like said, hot... "complete" OEM water pump kit first then go from there...

right out of tha xr6 manual.....
OPERATION OF THE OIL INJECTION SYSTEM..
bla, bla, bla, bla....then last paragraph.
The oil injection warning sound is an intermittent beep, beep, beep, etc. The overheat warning sound is a continuous beep (not intermittent).
only time this doesn't apply is if tha oiler module goes south.. but that usually shows up by sounding an alarm (usually continuous) anytime tha key is turned on.... motor runnin' or not...
