What do yall think of them? I was thinking about trying the inception which is their lower end reel.

I have the Concept E and really enjoy it. Very smooth, compact, and light. I have been wanting to pair it with one of their rods but need to run into some money first. Lol

I love the reels. I about got rid of all my shimano reels. I have a couple of the rods but to be honest there are tons of options. I have liked my dobyns rods. I think certain rod companies make better rods if one type of action than another in different price categories. That drag on a 13 concept reel- that's hard to beat. Their rods are nice but they don't set themselves apart like the reels. That's been my experience. I'm a little harsh I guess because I used the cheap $100 13 concept rod and it broke half way in the first bass which was about 3lbs. The other rods are a bit nicer and have been good to me. Just that one rod has me a bit hesitant. I guess it can happen to any rod company

Sorry didn't read the original post. My friend loves the inception for the price range. It doesn't have the drag like the other more $$$ but neither due the other companies. I would get the A for the drag alone. How many set ups do you plan to get? Getting the right rod and reel with line really makes a difference bass fishing. If you can only get one set up try to get a rod and reel for your favorite fishing technique.

I've been a dyed-in-the-wool Shimano guy for 30+ years, but I picked up a Concept C last year when I needed a quick replacement for a rod & couldn't get the Shimano I wanted in time. Great reel. Top notch quality & casts a country mile. I see owning more of their products in the future.

I love mine! I have the C as well but have tried the one your thinking about getting and that's the reason I went ahead purchased the one I have. Buddy of mine also used mine after I bought it and went out and bought him one as well.

I like my 13 fishing reels better than my high end Shimano reels.

If you can get the higher end models and know how to set the braking system they are the smoothest, easiest casting reels money can buy. I personally never backlash and I even throw my weightless flukes a mile with them. I have 4 of the "E"'s and a "KP"

Ive got KP's, E's and A's. IMO they are better than any reel I've own/fished. I put them above Curados, citicas, Calcutta, and especially the casitas. Wasn't impressed with the Casita at all. I've switched over to 13 fishing reels all together.

Picked up my first "A" about a year ago now, and won't buy anything but 13 reels for a while. They're smooth, cast great, have good drag, and look sweet! And in the world of fishing, looking good is what matters . I have mine on TFO rods.
