We were trying to build a few Crappie Condos yesterday at Whitney , out of some easily accessible Willow trees when it dawned on me if I hurry We might get a couple of hours to fish. These were hanging in 15'FOW ,2' of the bottom near a drop off into the channel.Just about the time We got into them good I had to go to work, but got lots of enjoyment out of getting our

Condos built and the few nice ones we gathered up! 10-5-16

Made our condos out of bamboo and a five gallon bucket last spring in our boat slip @ Harbor Master Marina. They have been there all year. Never seen the fishing this good @ Whitney for years. Just about all we catch are keepers. Lots of big old Mohawks also , man they put up a fight. Ours have always been caught in around 7 ft. of water on minnows.

Luke 98, Yes Sir, I have. We built Crappie Condos in 21',17',11' FOW I fished some of them two days later and the fish were already at home.Last night (condos nine days old) we decided to giv'em a shot at a little early Trick or Treating! We knocked on the Condo door and much to our surprise they were having a party, must have been their kids birthday party ? Every adolescent crappie in Whitney was their (7"-9") standing on the roof of the condo, hitting your jig on the fall every time you dropped it on them! We enjoyed the fast pace , but after a while this was getting old . We decided to see if the parents had gotten sick of the loud noise , and headed to the basement, as soon as we got down the stairs "boom" the parents(11"-14" were punch drunk and couldn't resist the jig to go with the cake and ice cream. Enjoyment was had by all and we left some orphans

at home alone!

Nice job , and nice fish. We went this morning to our slip @ Harbor Master were our bamboo condos have been since last April. Can not believe they have never moved. Caught 8 real nice ones this morning in around an hour. They work and hold fish.
