Fished out there the other day and had a ton of fun. We caught about 60 fish total. Early we found them in about 8ft on stairstep type rock banks. Later in the day we moved to about 17' on steeper banks near points and creek channel swings. Watermelon dropshot produced easy numbers while more compact 3/8 jig and texas rig produced our keepers.

Any link to that paw report?

You'd have to call PAW at the SA office on Galm rd.. ask for Randy Myers.. I don't think he had it on paper yet when I talked to him last week.. But he might now..

They will talk about it for years..

Fishing is that good at Medina right now.. And Debra knows the lake..

James, the Rage Menace is working as well, love that little bait in our Strike King lineup of plastics.
Appreciate the compliment, as you know already been fishing that lake since I was in diapers.
Fishing is SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD right now.

Wouldn't it be nice if it stayed that way for a few years and we finally had an awesome lake close to us.

It would be nice if the lake stayed full of water and fish. I try to help by only catching and release out there. I missed out last weekend but I'll be out there Saturday morning. If any of you see a 16' Gray Tracker Pro Guide stop and say hi.

For us, Medina has been a great place to take our kids. Mine have caught several different types of fish by just using a red worm and floater. Lately I've been teaching one of mine how to throw a crank bait while we're out there. It's nice to see her catch a few bass even if she isn't making the perfect cast every time. Catching that few by herself has given her a little bit of the fishing bug. And that's a good thing.

I might have to try some jigs out there this weekend. I've been using mostly 5 3/8" Stick-O's from Bass Pro.

I'm taking a buddy from Georgia out there tomorrow since Falcon is supposed to get rain. Where is the best place to launch when coming from South of SA? Thanks for the info. Any suggestions on areas to start? I have never been on Medina before.

Three places to launch on Medina.
1. Joe's Place $15 launch opens at 8am
2. Red's Cove $15 launch opens at 7am
3. County Ramp $10 launch opens at 8am (but can launch early will get $ when you load)

Tomorrow there is a team tournament going on.

It's amazing how fast they are draining the lake! I realized it was down, but it didn't really dawn on me until I drove up to Whartons Dock/Pops Place and saw how many docks are already out out of water. I just can't believe the people in charge don't care about conservation.

Lake is 3' low,if docks are out of the water,it's because they want them out. I sure wish the petition had more weight. Property values(taxes),lake access(area businesses),fishing quality(tourism/outside money),but lake was made for irrigation right? YET, water was sold to SAWS instead of the farmers down stream. Shorter statement,Bandera and medina counties need to partner and buy the water EVEN if we don't use it other than to keep the lake up.@ 70% capacity, faucet turns off. We signed the petition,I'm dumb as to what details were there but agree that there needs to be some safe guard water levels and everyone knows that it's a cash thing. Everything comes down to cash. I'm jealous,I haven't been out on the lake since July 4th. Keep those reports coming!
