Can anyone other than me remember the crank bait made by Smithwick lures called the Bo Jack. For about 3yrs in the late seventies this was one of the hottest crank baits on the market on Toledo Bend.I had trips where I caught 50-60 bass a day on one in the Coachdog Pattern. Now it would probably be called Fire Tiger. They had a tight wiggle and ran about 5-7 ft deep. Their only problem was the plastic bill was brittle and would not take too much pounding. I have seen them online recently selling for $15 to $20. Sure wish someone would copy that thin body and the way it performed.

Wasn't everyone catching 50-60 bass a day on Toledo in the late 70s on just about anything they could throw at them?

LOL Yeah, but this bait out performed everyone else's. There was a time the local tackle shops couldn't keep them on the shelf. I bought 12 one time. I was very saddened when Smithwick quit making it.
