Just got back from 4 days on Falcon. Water has came up about 2 ft. in the last month. Fished the BASS Federation Southeast Division Championship. Did well on 1st day (Friday) with 19.19 (good for 3rd place) and a 8.25lb that was big bass for the day. Blew it on Sat. Only got a small limit and finished 9th overall.

Almost all of the fish in the tournament was caught very shallow (less than 4 ft.) The creeks on the upper end on the Mexican side produced the most fish. Big stringer was only 20 lb. Some fish were caught down south, but a Sun Country Tournament Trail Team Championship was Tues- Friday and the south end got hammered pretty hard. The cold front also put the fish off until Saturday, but when you found them they bit well. Flipping was hot as was the Spinner bait bite. Upper end was off colored due to heavy rain in the first of last week. But I think the color kept the fish shallow until late morning.

Great trip overall. Congratulations to the Winners who made the state team and will fish the BASS regional. Also want to put a personal thanks to Albert Collins who stopped and helped me change a flat on my trailer. A great fisherman and a great person. Lets all wish him Luck at the Nationals next monthy.
