Last month was great fishing. In past years September was difficult for me. It must be the floods & and all the fresh water stimulating two great years of spawn. What ever caused it, I am for it.
Last Thursday I had Ken in the boat with me. He has just retired from the police force & is ready to get serious with fishing. We had a good day with a little less than 50 fish caught. Maybe 1/2 were the 17 11/12 inch hybrids.

We fished for crappie for a while & they were very active Trouble is that they were all small. We did not land one legal fish.

Saturday Markc & I gave it a go resulting in a 67 fish day. Slabs in 20 feet of water was the most productive method. The lake was mirror smooth most of the day. I had a great time.

I am recuperating from a medical procedure Monday & it may be a few days before I can get back on the water. It is October now and this month has traditionally been one of the best on LL.
