TTZ would like to thank the 300 plus anglers who qualified for the 2016 Championship by fishing 3 out of the 5 trail events hosted this year. We always say that TTZ has great events because we truly have the best people come out and fish with us. THANK YOU so much for making 2016 our biggest and best year to date.

With that being said it's time to turn our attention to the crescendo we have been building up to, the 2016 TTZ Championship. In less than 2 weeks someone or some team is going home with a guaranteed $20,000 first place check!!! We can't wait, we have big plans for the weekend and from our end, Championship Weekend can't get here soon enough!

Before we get into the three day schedule, we'd like to start out by answering a few frequently asked questions.

1. My partner didn't fish 3 events, but I did, can I just fish alone? Or can I fish with another angler that fished 3 events? Yes, any new teams can be formed, anyone that fished 3 events is welcome to fish with anybody else who is qualified as well.

2. My partner and I both qualified but for the tournament we want to fish as two separate solo teams, can we do this? Yes, if you both pay your $200 you can fish solo as two independent teams.

3. What are the off-limit times and practice day schedule? Lake Buchanan will be off limit starting Monday morning at 12:01am and will run until Friday morning at 4am when the official practice day begins. Please see below for a full schedule and rules for the practice day and registration.

4. Can I launch from any ramp? Yes, as long as you come to the livewell check and boat release point.

5. What's this top 25, day two spot thing I've been hearing about? The 25 teams that finished in the top of the TTZ AOY standings are guaranteed a spot in the day 2 field. The field will be pared down to 75 teams on day 2. If all 25 of these teams fish the championship then the next 50 heaviest weights from day 1 will also advance to day 2. (But, for example, if only 20 of the top 25 fish, then the 55 other heaviest weights on day 1 will advance.) Regardless, day 2 will be comprised of a 75 boat field, with some combination of the top 25 AOY teams and the heaviest weights from day 1. We will have the final 75 teams listed on the leaderboard very quickly after the weigh-in on Saturday.

I am pretty excited! TTZ is ALWAYS a great event. I just started figuring out Buchanan this past weekend, and even thought I am a terrible fisherman I still caught fish all day long. The lake is setting up perfect for this tournament. If you are qualified you should definitely be fishing this event!

I haven't had this much fun fishing in over a year! Buchanan bass are biting EVERYTHING! Put that together with TTZ running a 2 day tournament event and this shapes up to be the highlight of the year for us fishermen. Sure you can tell your family it was the birth of your child, but we know the truth. smile . I can't wait for this one.
