Had the privilege to take my best friend on planet earth Jon Byrnes and his oldest son Jake out for some action Saturday. What a gorgeous day to be out on the lake! Got started at daylight and finished just before dark. Had a little battery trouble (threw lunch in there too!) and lost a couple of hours, but ended the day with 30 nice crappie, a few channel cats and 7 magnum bluegills. It didn't take long for Jon and Jake to jump on board and put Thermocline Lures Copper Mine on their line! I had 8 fish in the boat and they were convinced! It was catch up time and they did just fine. After 1 o'clock the bite was extra tough, as we only boated 5 keepers until 5:15!
A special shout out to Jerry LeBlanc (Squeaky here on the forum) for amazing jig heads! I have now caught over 200 crappie on one single jig head without any of the eyes or paint coming off! Absolutely the best, hands down, I have ever used! Thank you for such good product Mad Crappie Jigs!

Great pics, I caught 3 nice keepers yesterday at Lake Graham with the copper mine too. Will try it out a couple of more times before I make it my go to jig.

BrazosRiverTom, I am using Thermocline Lures stinger and stump bug in the color Copper Mine. I am using a unique color jig head made by Mad Crappie Jigs called Watermelon Chartreuse with blue eyes. The blue eyes have tested off the charts with the Copper Mine vs chartreuse or red eyes on the Watermelon Chartreuse. (1/16 #4 hook)

Thanks red snappa, I will be getting some from Mad Crappie next time he opens up. I was getting good bites all day on the copper mine at Lake Graham but I was using a plain round head and a #2 red sickle hook. Caught 3 keepers, and let others go. Of course I let the 3 keepers go to at the end of the day, did not want to clean just 3 fish.
