Fish disappear from the usual spot where I've been catching them. Finally found them along the shore in 10-15fow just like a spring time patterns. Shads are in there along with them hybrids along wind blown points. We getting them steady now. Mostly 23" hybrids. They slamming that bait hard like a freight Train. Whites are in there too but they don't wanna feed. Even presented the umbrella rigs but slow to bite. Caught very few not like last week.

Today limits. Yesterday is also limits. We went up the yegua creek to check access ability for next year white bass run.
We would like to stick around for the white bass but we going home now.
Didn't take us long once we found them hugging the shore line in 10-15fow along with them shads. I think the evening bites is gonna get crazy good but we ain't gonna stick around to see it happen. Them fish are hitting way more aggressively harder compare to last week. Peeling drags and running like a train. Another one going into the fishing diary.

Note those fish are as long as the width of that table and the width of the stainless steel sink. These are Big fish. Some are big but got smaller stomach. They need to start feeding regularly.

So we arrive bright and early Saturday morning only to find out all the fish had move from all the previous locations due to the cooler weather. We did not find any good schooling activity for two hours so we decided to tour the lake and found crappies guys were doing good and catching nice size crappies at some of the known crappy hole on Lake Somerville. Then we decided since there were no real activity found we left to checkout the Yegua Creek. At this point we have no ideas where the fish had move to so we play in the creek almost all day. I could not report our status Saturday due to no good phone signal for internet. Once the day almost ended and my guess went home I were able to catch a limit of hybrids just before it got dark at one of my location. Saturday night my instinct kept telling me that the cooler weather got the fish and shads moving toward the banks shore line like a spring time pattern. It was just a matter of finding the right shore line. I was right on the money!! Search the first wind blown shore line and found shads suspended close to the banks in 10-15fow. The predator fish were right behind them positioning school by school ready to feast on them shads. As the hours past I can see more predator fish arriving at this location. We caught our limits quick and went home. All fish were caught trolling artificial baits. We left them biting. Can't imagine what the evening bites would be like ??? All in all it was another great learning and catching trip. Persistent paid off again!! smile

Btw boat and human traffic is thinning out with the cooler weather. It's a great time to go fishing at the lake. Grab your son and old Dad and let's go!!

Lots of small large mouth bass.

Great report. If at first you find them, search until you do. Good job.

I'd be very interested as to your technique for catching limits on Saturday....dead calm and marked TONS of fish but very few fish boated for me and at least a few buddies that I'd count as some of the better fisherman I've ever fished with.
Sunday looks like the day to be there.
