Crappie fished Friday afternoon, and ALL day Saturday. Fished all my favorite spots, twice.
The bite for us was S L O W...caught about 14 Friday with only two keepers. Saturday was worse, one here, {minnows and jigs by Thermocline..}
two there,..nothing consistant. I was talking to another fisherman, and Debbie gets a bite, I keep talking and she yells, get the net it's a big catfish,...I run for the net, and this giant bass surfaces, jumps about a foot straight up, and heads under the boat,..all this on a 8 foot crappie rod, with 10# fluorocarbon..
she brings her back up and I grab her with the net...9 pounds 4 oz, 23 1/2"..the guy I'm talking to got the whole show,..
he's as excited as Debbie,..that was the highlight of the weekend,..she's was OK with that..love them bug eyes.
