Thinking about heading up there later this week. Any reports?

Jackpot was there yesterday. Had 19 boats, 1st was 10 lbs, 2nd was 8 lbs and 3rd was 5 lbs. Lake is fishing kind of tough right now.

Fished Thursday and Saturday. Had a really good bite on Thursday with the strong winds. Caught a lot of small fish, a few in the 2-3 pound range and one just over 6. Everything came on a spinnerbaits on windy banks.

Saturday the weather was a lot different. Topwater produced two fish in the 3 pound range and a few dinks. Picked up the spinnerbait and ran some points, but could only get a few bites and they were small. We decided to power fish as much stuff as possible and try to find bigger schools of fish. I started working a LC Pointer pretty fast and my buddy was throwing a trap. Those two baits produced a lot of fish for us and a few really good smallies.

Water temp has been dropping for the past week and the bass are really keying on bait fish. Find a good school and you can catch a lot of fish off that spot.
