I'm mostly a bass fisherman. In the fall I know bass fishing is prime in the creeks because the shad move in and they follow. Do the crappie do the same in the fall? And if so, should I be looking for them just sort of mixed in with the bass or will they be in separate areas within the creeks that have the shad moving in? I have no clue about crappie fall locations...

Crappie will definitely follow the shad. Crappie will not mix in with the bass. Bass love to prey on crappie. Crappie will also make a fall migration down the lake during Oct and Nov. Water temp will affect the movement to some extent but crappie will move to deeper water or way up the creeks after shad.
