How safe is it to run Lake Tawakoni. Was told earlier this week that there is standing timber just under the water in the middle of the Lake.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes there are stumps in the main lake of tawakoni, mainly in middle to north end. I have not fished east of the bridge, but I believe there are stumps on that side too. Along the bridge and damn are safe areas. Be cautious everywhere else.

There's a lot of stumps south & east of the bridge. Literally a flooded forest.
