Was planning a trip to the Brazos below PK for Saturday, but rains and potentially heavy release changed our plans. Headed to Whitney instead. Fishing with Shane Davies. Hoping to catch some smallmouth. Tied up a few of these today to add to my box.

Nice frogs!!
I love the beauty of well made flies just as much as I like to catch fish with them.

We had a great day on the Brazos with Shane Davies. He's a great guy to fish with.

I never got any takers on top with the frogs and poppers, but the Clouser produced lots of fish - 5 species, actually. I caught largemouth, smallmouth, spotted bass, white bass, and a big long-eared sunfish on the chartreuse and white Clouser. I hooked a monster smallmouth that broke off, so if anybody lands a huge smallie with a chartreuse Clouser stuck in his lip, it's mine. laugh
