Bite was pretty slow. Managed about 40 today. Caught a couple good ones and several dinks. Had to move to 3 locations. Some days you're the dog, some days you're the hydrant. All fish caught on Stubby's cheese bait in 23-32 FOW

Littlewheel, you call 40 catfish a little slow. That would be a great day for me. I need to go out with you on fork one day. Haven't been on fork since Stubby, my brother and I went on a trip last year. Have a Blessed day, and Stubby's cheese bait is the bomb.....

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as Sarge. 40 is pretty good depending on how many people fishing. Maybe you had 20 boats out.
They are still there. They have to eat sometime. Be there.

One boat, two people. Myself and a guy that had never fished before. We fished for 5 hours is the reason I said slow. Usually we will have caught 100 in that amount of time.

Sarge, if it wasn't for Stubby's help and bait, I would not be nearly as blessed when it comes to catching catfish. I was a 5-6 fish a day guy before he shared his knowledge with me. For that I am greatful.

Stubby is no doubt one of the best Catmen around. Makes some pretty good bait also.

Stubby does try to help. One spring day I called him and told him I was struggling. He was out on a guide trip. He told me, Scott my boat is sitting in two foot deep water right now. I quickly adjusted where I was fishing and had a very good day. That is really good that he shared enough info to let me know what I should be doing. I do buy my bait from him but our friendship goes much farther than that. He treats all of his customers well and wants them to be successful. Now if I had several trips without catching fish I would beg him to take a guide trip. Sometimes that guide trip can teach you what you need to know better than anything else. When I take the guide trip I avoid the guides spots when I go on my own and try to find simular locations and depths.
