Recently been looking at purchasing a center console. I'm really liking the Bluewave Purebay 2200s. Anyone on here have any experience with them good or bad. If you're within an hour of DFW and are willing to take me out for a ride I'd be willing to pay some gas money. thanks in advance

They are good nice boats. I have fished out of a couple of them before. When I got my new boat, i looked at pretty much all of them and had it narrowed down to Blue Wave, Blazer and Nautic Star. The Blazer dealer was far away, so I scratched them first. I went back and forth on the BW and the NS, and ended up with the NS. They both have similar design, and comparable fit and finish. I chose the NS due to it had the engine I preferred, I liked the color better, it had better lid hinges and hardware, and I was able to get a little better price. The layout is basically the same. You can't go wrong with a Blue Wave or many other brands. Find a layout you like, on a few different ones, compare warranties, and how good the dealer is and go from there. I don't think you will be disappointed with that style of boat, I came from running bass boats since the late 80's and will not go back.

I've been looking and reading for 7-8 months. I like the nautic star but it seems tighter in space but it actually longer. I definitely want the fish ability of a bass boat . I like to fish shallow and don't want to have it rocking back and forth like the deeper V style. Thanks for your input .

I have a deep V Robalo and it does not list. Every boat is going to be different based on their hull. I have no issues getting shallow and it rides like its on rails.

It depends on what you want the boat to do. Concerning center consoles and bay boats, I have been a Bluewave Dealer, a Ranger Dealer as well as Robalo and Wellcraft. The Ranger and the Bluewave are both very well built, multi-purpose boats. They both will get semi-shallow and handle the rough stuff. You will love the Pure Bay, and consider the Ranger Bay.

I'm looking for more of a boat to fish lakes . I enjoy fishing shallow for bass when the time is right . I want to be able to take 4 people and fish comfortable and stay out on days when it's blowing 15. My current boat doesn't do well on windy days . Not worried about saltwater. It may never see the coast. More concerned with fishing texoma, towokani etc.
