So, I got a wild hair at 11 PM tonight and decided I needed to dip my craw claws in some spike it dye. Well, I decided to open the red and start dipping away. I knocked the entire bottle of red spike it all over the kitchen table. After trying every cleaner in the house, it looks like this dye isn't coming out of the marble in this table. My wife is out of town she is going to freak when she sees it.

The good news is, I can probably catch a hog if I can figure out a way to cast this table. Maybe a 10 foot rod will help. I should probably pull the $2,000 out in cash and have it sitting on the table when she gets back in town....

Just thought I'd give you a "it could be worse" experience.

They make a liquid especially for removing that. Try bass pro shop. I think it will take most of it off. Sunlight will slowly fade it away too but not sure how that will help you. It isn't a permanent stain

In my experience their remover doesn't work if it has dried.
Acetone will get it off gelcoat. Goof-off and other solvent based products will get it out. Since marble is porous that will be a tough one. Sunlight does fade it (still waiting for it to entirely fade my boat carpet).

I didn't read that it was marble. If you can remove the marble from the table, set it out in the sun but it is a slow process. Using the sun along with some type of stripper might speed it up. Can you sand marble and reseal?

Try 3000 grit sandpaper and a buffer WETSAND then buff it and that should take most of it out

SUPRISE HONEY!!! Do you like our brand new table cloth that I bought for you while you were away???

Maybe it'll buy you enough time to move out before she kills you.

What you have is a prime opportunity to revisit the need for a hobby room with a work table. Turn this around and don't back down. Let her know with no uncertainty that this would have never happened if you weren't forced to play with your toys on her marble dining room table.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
