Good day on Lake Lewisville prepping for the State Championship. Got a limit while scouting. No big slabs though. Left them biting as I moved around. I didn't count but I'd guess less than 8 dinks caught.

Caught most on Rocky Tops white and chart. Sometimes with pink head and sometimes plain. Caught at 7.4ft, 9.4ft and 18 (10-12ft down. Almost all came on natural submerged structure. Minnows worked and but mostly used jigs with a nibble. Also caught a 4.8lb largemouth. That was about a 5min battle in the structure. All caught south of Little Elm and toll bridge and north of dam. lols

Right now we are catching crappie on any color, size, make and any where you stop and fish. Timber (standing or submerged), brush piles, condos, rock pile, horse trough and bridges. Fish being caught from 5' to 25'. I was finding 1.5 plus lb fish on timber in 12' of water right off the bottom until the first cold front. I have been seeing that pattern deteriorate and the fish are on the move. Recently (Monday and today) the better fish caught seem to be in 18'-20' again right off the bottom. Things are changing daily, weekly. It is Fall and the weather can change the bite in a heart beat. Water temp was in the high 70'
See ya soon....

Bill, I'm not greedy. I have over 1400 wpts (yes, as in 1000+) on Lewisville; mostly submerged stuff. I'll share some with you. Pick six numbers between 1-1435 (new ones not included, lols) and counting from the first wpt, I'll send them to you. Of course, I reserve the right to pass over a wpt if you hit the jackpot.
