When you get to a cove how do you dissect it...Do you have a mental checklist....In order what do you look for?
"Be willing to throw where others won't and you'll catch fish others dont"
"Never caught a fish with my lure out of the water"

Find the area that correlates to the seasonal pattern you expect them to be in. Find the highway they use to go in & come out. Creek channel, road bed, tree line, grass or bank line. Then follow it to the first piece of cover they should stop on. Then do the same in the middle of the creek & back. Get a couple bites and use that templet throughout the lake. You should be able do break down a major creek in about an hour. Patterning on the fly is my favorite class to teach people.

Act like your rigging a rod or eating a sandwich, wait until you see someone catch one. Then go pot lick.

"On the 8th day, God created the DALLAS COWBOYS" Real men love Jesus, don't wear scarves, pop their gum, or use an umbrella....IMO

I always try to start on the wind blown point then head to the bankline the creek channel gets closest to.

I wait until James Biggs posts on what he does..then I go out and fail miserably at duplicating what he explained.
